When humor becomes reality
Apparently, my post regarding The Daily Show as being more realistic then regular news is laughable to some. Perhaps this is because our country is in crises. People turn to humor when their world is dark and full of hopelessness. Look to the history of the world, and you will find that it is the truth. Movies and theater exploded during the Great Depression. Iraq has already formulated their own version of the Daily Show. This is our current reality—a dark age of ignorance surrounded by a plethora of useless technology. While we are able to fulfill our needs to examine the dirt on the nipple of a cheerleader's breast within our high definition television screens, we are completely and utterly unable to feed the poor in Africa, and are unable to understand even an intermediate grasp of the English language. Foreigners from Germany and France believe that our language is inferior, even though we have combined the best of both, and created our own. Nevertheless, they have a right to feel this way, as our language, and our reason pertaining to the more basic humanities are shallow at best. Yet, The Daily Show is not to be taken seriously. Let us ignore it, for it creates fear within the ignorant, and happiness among those that see reality for the instinctual notions that it presents within us.
