SS, I'm sure it must have occurred to you by now that Horatio is an alter ego of Aryeh (or else there are some astounding coincidences or they are two guys in the same room). He tends to respond to Aryeh's mostly empty posts in a way as to appear even more empty than Aryeh. It's a pattern that's been repeated far too many times for me to leave to chance.
He made a dumb claim without evidence because his purpose is to play off of Aryeh. Then he always responds with "conservatives are evil."

I've yet to actually figure out whether both characters are satirical or one is meant to make the other look smart. Despite the lack of thought, the "Aryeh" posts seem to have more effort put in, so if he is a dual satirist- he's a bit lop-sided.
Perhaps his goal is just to make politics in general look bad.
