Some funny stuff:
What is more deadly in the world? Terrorism, or aids? Hm. That's a tough question. I think about 35 MILLION people have aids, as compared to only 50,000 Iraqis+5,000 Americans+a few thousand others that have died during the war on terror thus far. Aids wins hands down.
So how much did the government spend on aids research? I couldn't find an updated figure, but I do know that in 2004 we spent a whooping 2 billion! Can you guys believe that?

Yes, that is right. It is so ridiculous. I can't believe we wasted that money. We could have built just one more of these for that much!

Yeah, that plane is 2 billion dollars. 1 of those planes is worth as much as an entire years worth of aids research funding. Actually, it is worth more, as they were built back in the 90s and have therefore been paid through compounding interest on the enormous national debt. Not to mention the fact that I am no even adjusting for inflation. So in reality, one of those planes is about 2 years worth of aids funding.
This isn't even the tip of the iceberg. Anyone here realize that your children spend 50 dollars for a textbooks with information that is at least 95% in the public domain? Do you know why? Check the label. The textbook publisher is one of two major companies. McGraw Hill, or Prentice Hall. One would think that our country could do better. But do you know why no one ever mentions these facts in political debates?
Because they are making vast amounts of money off of you and you're stupid enough to believe they care because they kiss your baby's head on television and wave your sacred flag.
God bless America.
