OBL would a wonderful trophy for W. A sign that he could do something right sfter 8 years.

Conversely, an alive and well OBL is a great tool for partisans to club Bush with. "Not going after the real enemy", etc.

If you're looking for conspiracies, consider the "War on Terror" nomenclature. An excuse for endless gov't expansion if there ever was one, just like the wars on poverty, crime, and drugs.

well i kind of agree with that....however i'm of the opinion that if bin laden was caught or killed the bogie man element would vanish and once again the 'team b' style dreaming up of enemys would begin again.....
