Like most posters here, you have no ability to embrace logic or honest argument. This is the hallmark of most Republicans, conditioned as they are by Faux News.

I did not say the Texas fires were the result of fire fighter cuts. But I made it clear that the Texas fires might usefully have been contained by people whose job it was to fight fires. That they were not there in the numbers they could and should have been has given Texas, courtesy of Perry, its worst fires in history.

But in your brain-washed way you had to distort the facts to mean something else altogether.

    It's a disease. Seek treatment.

That's what "small government" gets you.
Awryly, Once again your wrong. You make it sound like he cut funds so Texas will catch on fire. How stupid did that sound?

Texas caught on fire because Texas has been hotter then it has ever been, EVER and it is in a drought. Drought means NO RAIN.

Also, Perry did not want to take money from the federal government because at the time Texas didn't need it and there were OTHER states that needed far worse than Texas did.
So, when lightning strikes dry brush, or a idiotic jerk tosses a cigarette out, or someone just burns their trash, "THAT IS WHAT CATCHES TEXAS ON FIRE''
That is what stupid get you!!!!!!!!
    NOT SMALL GOVERNMENT!

[QUOTE=Kingofwow;4438322]Here I'm gonna post this a cut from another poster in another thread that I think explains things nicely, well at least to me it does:

Obama’s civilian army is ready to roll in the streets of the U.S.A. and as labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. put it at a Labor Day weekend rally, “Let’s take these son of a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s out!” – telling Barack Obama that “we (labor union members) are your army and we are ready to march.”

what 'civilian army ? your comments are laughable ... there will be no Civil War , and there is NO Civilian Army ... come on , get a grip . . .

So Perry made a bad judgment call - in the interests of "small government".

No surprises there. But the result was there were too few fire fighters to control the fires. Logic would say that, faced with potentially catasrophic drought conditions, you would need to increase their number, not slash them.

But no. Small government is best.

    What a hoot.

170,000 jobs of Perry's "creation" scheme were in the Texas state government.

How's that for the "small government" he's campaigning against?
