Thread: Why I vote Republican

  1. Default Why I vote Republican

I know that if I vote for Republicans, it is more likely that my taxes will stay at the current level, or might even go down.

I know that if I vote for Democrats, it is more likely that my taxes will go up.

I do not want my taxes to go up, so I don't vote for Democrats.

This is all very simple that even a Democrat can understand.

  2. Default

No one has responded to this, but I've made it very simple to understand.

The Republicans want to lower my taxes, or keep them the same.

The Democrats want to raise my taxes, and/or raise taxes on the people I work for.

If my taxes go up, I will have less money for groceries and to pay my bills.

If my employer's taxes go up, they might have to make cut backs -- which might be eliminating my job. And then I'd be unemployed.

I vote Republican to keep my taxes down and to keep my job from vanishing.

Do you Democrats understand where I'm coming from?

  3. Default

Democrats have no response to this very simple argument.

So you want your country to stay the busted flush that it is. Well, I can understand that.

    No pride whatsoever.

The government takes in trillions of dollars in taxes and yet cannot balance its budget. That's not my fault, and I see no reason why my taxes should go up.

My family is sacrificing so we can pay off our family debt. We are living within our means and we should be completely debt-free by 2013.

If we can do it, there's no reason the government can't do it.

It's true, raising taxes can have its consequences. But so can cutting government spending.

Exactly, the left never has a response for living responsibly and within their means.

They expect everyone else to save them... they go in debt and expect anyone but themselves to bail them out.

Great point, sir. Democrats always want to get their sticky sausage fingers on your cash.

Of course the government can do it. By 2014, Sarah Palin will have done it. Remember, you read it here first.

I was self-employed when the economy turned south. Business dried up, so I shut my doors and got a job.

The government did not offer me a bail-out and I did not ask for one.

I do not see why the government spent trillions of dollars bailing out other people's businesses when I did not get a bail-out. If a business cannot turn a profit, it should close it doors and its resources should be diverted to other, more profitable uses.
