For one, it was not a hobby, we did it many times

You see, back in JFK's time a plan was put into action
to break the soviets by going to the moon, along with
many other programs that caused the soviets to try
to keep up with us. So the hobby as you call it was just

Hmm...WWII battles took place not ONLY in Normandy. As for Normandy (D-day), US forces were fighting NAZIs together with British and Canadian forces.
