Default Question for Conservatives

Where do we go politically from here? Does it always have to be a choice between "moderate" rino republicans, and liberals? Look how the liberals are winning on almost all fronts: the policization of education from K12 to universities continues; Sandra Day O'Connor breathed new life into anti-white racial discrimination as a parting gift upon leaving the USSC; the republicans are born-again budget busters; the dems are in the process of deliberately changing the nature of this country with a tidal wave of illegal immigrants; the anti-religion jihad has not stopped; looks like Hillary and socialized medicine are on the way. There are a few bright spots: the decades long liberal media monopoly has been broken; the most ghastly abortion procedure has been outlawed.

But what's the plan? I'm underwhelmed by the republican nominees. The way things look now, give it a couple years and we will once more have a democrat congress and president.

Default Hmm, that's a good un

I think that democracy is at it's best when one party controls the legislative and the other the executive, it's true democracy that way. All propositions get hammered from both sides and the best possible decision is made (in theory).

Where do conservatives go politically? Good question.

Well we might start by sorting out the balance of trade issue which seems to have no one worried, but frankly scares me. I mean i don't think I would have a problem if we were economically empowering another liberal democracy but a communist autocracy?

Yeah, the thing about the immigrants is that the democrats are more likely to give away more money to help them, while the republicans have followed the historical precedent of making people stand on their own feet or 'Rugged Individualism'. How do we conservatives reach out to the immigrants? I've got a solution for two problems on this issue. Offer all the illegals citizenship for service in the military and then ship them to Iraq and Afghanistan, two birds with one stone. That would also attract them to the Republicans, offering a them a sure way of obtaining citizenship for them and there family and traditionally 'earning' it.

However, I would agree with you that the options for conservatives are fleeting. Realistically, the democrats are going to field either Clinton of Obama which I hate to say have not got a fair chance. Clinton is despised by a third of Americans and there is still the 'stealth' racism continuing in America which unfortunately for Obama undermine is chances for presidency. I like Obama, but can't vote for him b/c of his scary proposals for Iraq.

With all of this in mind it looks like it'll be down to the Republicans in fielding the right candidate to meet the needs of the electorate. McCain is my horse b/c he's a supreme pragmatist and this is what America will always needs.

Look at it this way, the Wingnuts have always been more comfortable sniping from the sidelines. Now that the experiment in turning the government over to them promises to come to an inglorious end, Limburger, Orally, Haventany, and Blecch can spend their time fuming and fussing over the direction of the country rather than trying desperately to ignore their heroes' mismanagement of the government.

Sure, they'll be irrelevant, but they'll be amusing.

Default Fear not!

Have a little patience. Once Hillary is done with her token facade of a presidential term, and the nation is bogged down in debt and resources from both the Iraq and Iran wars , All the shiny new conservative issues will once again come to the forefront and it will be the conservatives turn at pretending to run the country once again. You all just have to go wait your turn in line again for a little while, Trust me, The conservatives will make a very nice historic comeback after a couple of elections! But you first need to let the Liberals have their term.

Long live the conservative party! They'll come back. you'll see. I promise.

Although sometimes it seems this site is infested by a huge swarm of libs, I am NOT the only conservative here. Take your chitinous self and rejoin the swarm, please.

Default Sorry 'bout that...

I'm relatively new around here so I didn't realize there was a special super secret clubhouse for the "conservatives." Are there secret passwords? Handshakes? Initiation rites? (Wait, I don't think I want to know about those.)

Are libertarians allowed? How about "moderate conservatives?" Is there a Monica Goodling authored questionnaire to weed out those who don't meet the high standards of being a "conservative?" Do you get to join if you ever cheated on your wife? (Thank you, Ms. Goodling.)

If I wanted to join would I have to promise not to use the SpelChek feature? Would I get to make stuff up and ignore reality altogether? Do I have to forget about the last six years of utter incompetence or is that topic discussed only in code?

Tell you what, I'll not post on this thread again if I can just read it and laugh.
