Thread: Experimental Political Model Part 4 of 8: Prosperity

  1. Default Experimental Political Model Part 4 of 8: Prosperity

If you haven't read Part 1, please do.

This is a measure of how best, either morally or pragmatically, resources should be distributed.

    Hierarchism vs. Egalitarianism

Hierarchism: Those who are most successful should have increased access to resources and those who are the least successful should be kept at best at subsistence level. This allows for resources to fall into the hands of those best able to use them and minimizes the waste of resources on the least capable.

Egalitarianism: Those who are most successful should give up some of their excess resources to foster an environment where the less successful have access. This allows for the improvement of the less capable and gives everyone more shared stake.

    Choose one of the above.
If in between, choose a "soft" version.
For a tie-breaker, consider the question:
Is it more efficient/morally acceptable to keep out of the way of the best or to improve the abilities of the least?

Reject premise. Distribution takes place through commerce: a medium of exchange of resources through which one party trades a currency of market determined equal value as the product they're buying.

One's worth and ability to use that product is determined by the accrual of the currency used to accumulate such resources. It is up to the exercised merits of the individual.
Paul Ryan 2016. By then, even the most stupid among us would be unable to deny the need.

The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so. - Ronaldus Magnus Reagan

Truth is, you could shove Obama's knowledge of small business operations and job creation up an gnats butt and it would rattle around like a marble in an empty supertanker. -- Neil Boortz

    Dependent on the society.
It could be based on production, helpfulness, wealth accumulation, number of box tops collected...
