Innovation would slow to a crawl, and really China with their slave labor would be selling $50 I-Pads and $2000 Mustangs and without these IP/copyright laws you wouldn't even be able to tell what company made them... they'd just put an Apple or Ford icon on them with no legal repercussions. ....

You'd have to go through a body scanner to go to the movies, and they'll never release one on DVD just not worth the expense. So pretty much a new modern day dark age. Wages fall, unemployment skyrockets as we can't compete with third world labor, and I really wish I new how to farm for this utopia you created.

Are you implying this was how it was before patents? LOL ever heard of ancient greece?

Do you realize that all the security and the body scanners in every theater would cost more than the actual loss from someone downloading the movies?

Why wouldn't they R&D a project? People still have a demand for the drugs, maybe you'd see a voluntary collaboration between businesses in the pharmaceutical industry. Their are so many possibilities, you just have to use a little imagination and open your mind.

    Proof.

Depends. I prefer freedom and know that I am helping to other people rather to earn a lot of money. For me the money is just a mean to live, and a lot of people think like me.

Your idea of freedom is much different than mine. Your socialist ideolgy has been proven a losing system time and time again.

So lets say I like to write and I publish stories on fiction sites over the internet.

One day, I go into a book store, and buy some novel in my favorite genre, and open it up and find my own words staring back at me and some other guy got millions of dollars in publishing royalties by using my stories stolen off the internet?

What is your solution for me with no IP laws? (*)(*)(*)(*) you dude for being dumb enough to share your talent with the world?

I mean really... that would (*)(*)(*)(*) me off if that happened. I would sue, and I would expect remuneration for my work being stolen off the net like that, and if the law wouldn't give it to me, then I'd go find the "author" and take it out of his ass.

    Yup. I would too.
Funny how when one talks of trade, national borders are imaginary. When one talks of immigration, national borders are imaginary. But when one talks of expansionism and imperialism, national borders become very real.

I am Nationalist Capitalist. Labor in control of the state, with the means of production in private hands.

Me too, it's my work no matter what these other guys say. They just are looking for the easy way out, steal some one else's idea and claim it as there own. Go get jobs with Microsoft then, they have made an art of it.
Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. Steve Jobs

Look in the history of the copyright.

USA until the 60s-70s had less copyright laws than France and other European countries and it made that USA become more competitive than European countries.

I am not socialist. I am anarchist.

And my idea has of freedom has been proved be real. The yours no.

Simply because your idea of freedom depends of how much money you have. If you have more money you're more free than someone with the just for life. That is not freedom.
Property is theft. NO GODS, NO MASTERS. AGAINST ALL AUTHORITY. apt-get install anarchism

False. USA had the most copyright laws since the industrial age.

    Know your history, for once.

You conveniently forget that almost nobody bought them! Yes, they got 50+MPG (actually, the 50MPG Metro had a 3 cylinder), they were also cramped, slow, noisy, bouncy, coarse tin cans. They couldn't pass tightening safety standards (I'm not sure ABS was even available, much less traction/stability control), and like most roller skate cars in the US, they never sold especially well.

Electric cars existed 90 years ago. (Henry Ford's wife drove one.) They weren't practical then and still are not practical!
