Can you give me one reason why Al-Qaeda would want us to leave? And don't say they're scared because we have a superior military, because in this kind of fighting that doesn't matter. Here is what the Al-Qaeda #2 Ayman al Zawahri said about the proposed timetables:

"This bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap,"

We ask Allah that they only get out of it after losing 200,000 to 300,000 killed, in order that we give the spillers of blood in Washington and Europe an unforgettable lesson."

I'm thinkin that they want us to stay so they can kill us. Would you agree or are you going to make us some bs?

So they can proclaim to the Muslim world that they drove out the US. They would score a lot of brownie points with extremists by taking credit for driving away "the great Satan". That seems obvious to me.

Al-Zawahiri is likely practicing the Islamic-approved art of Taqiyya/Kitman (lying to spread Islam.)

He actually would LOVE to kick us out....his real goal is not to kill Infidels AS SUCH, but rather to implement brutal Islamic Sharia law like Mohammad wanted his followers to do. Mohammad would be quite proud of Al-Qaeda, actually...they quote the Koran way way more than the leader of, say, Turkey does. Just read Bin Laden's manifesto, it's likely on-line.

I think Al-Qaeda doesn't really care if we're there. They know we're not going to win this "war" so if we're there then thats good because they can kill us, but if we leave then thats good too.

I agree that terrorists in general should be erradicated. I think the emphasis on Islamic is kind of unnecessary.
