BS, The brakes on today's trucks are just as good,if not better than those on today's cars. They are anti-lock, just like cars. Many trucks are coming out with disc brakes. altho most remain drum. Do you have any idea how much inertia you have to overcome trying to slow a 90,000 lb rig moving at highway speed? Slow drivers are much greater danger on the road than speeders.
That which does not kill me, should run.
Wrong, that's why the Interstate system has a minimum speed limit. and it is enforceable. You can also be ticketed for impeding traffic. That's why there are special lanes for trucks in the mountains and on steep hills. Anyone who has driven thru the mountains can tell you that rigs must use certain lanes when climbing and if their speed drops under the posted minimum, they must turn on their 4 way flashers to warn other drivers.

Yes, you can drive too slow. Imagine going to a busy NY subway platform when a train arrives and then walking really slow as everyone else tries to hussle to their destinations. People would jostle you, bump into others trying to get around you, and you would be an obstacle. Driving too slow does the same thing on the highway. People back up behind you, they then start doing things that are dangerous, like tailgating to get you to pull over, or passing on the right or weaving through traffic to get around the obstacle. The obstacle is dangerous.
There is a reason why it is called the passing lane and many states put up signs that say left lane for passing only. You want to follow the law and be a safe driver, don't clog up the passing lane.
Now this does not mean that there is are not speeds that are too fast. But there are speeds that are too fast and too slow. And when you atart driving much faster than the flow or slower than the flow, then the risks go up.
