A prominent activist for the hijacked Tea Party in New Hampshire has declared he will support Mitt Romney’s bid for president. Tom Thompson is the son of the late Meldrim Thomson, former governor of New Hampshire and an anti-tax activist. Tom Thompson is the chairman of New Hampshire’s Americans for Prosperity.

“I was a Tea Party activist before it was cool,” Thomson told the Union Leader. “And as a Tea Party person, I believe the best avenue to the White House is through Mitt Romney.”

The Tea Party was created by libertarians as part of Tax Day protests. In 2007, supporters of Ron Paul used the anniversary of the original Tea Party in Boston as a fund raising event for the 2008 primaries. They advocated an end to fiat money and the Federal Reserve System, ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and supporting states’ rights.

Americans for Prosperity is a Koch brothers outfit. It worked to roll Tea Party activists into the Republican Borg hive and convert the formerly libertarian Tea Party into a cheering section for the GOP platform of endless war, bloated government and the suicidal fiscal policies of the bankster elite.

Mitt Romney has praised the monetary policy of Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke. “I’m not going to spend my time going after Ben Bernanke. I’m not going to spend my time focusing on the Federal Reserve,” he told Larry Kudlow in April.

Romney has taken the majority of his campaign contributions from Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse Group, Morgan Stanley, HIG Capital, Barclays, Kirkland & Ellis, Bank of America, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, EMC Corp, JPMorgan Chase and the financial elite, so it makes sense he supports Bernanke and the Federal Reserve. Comment: Don't be fooled by the establishments controlled opposition tricks. Ron Paul is against the establishment, people like Romney and Newt will keep things just as they are, more war, more theft, more police state.

  5. Default Any vote for Mitt Romney in 2012 is a tea party vote.

You have a choice. The continued Failed policys of the Democrats and Obama. With skyrocketing debt, Less freedom, More tax, no energy policy, No budget, deceptions, Nonenforcement of laws, Higher international death and destruction. Or you can use your vote to elect Mitt Romney. A Moral American, That has the best intrests of All Americans as his agenda. With the drive and experience, To turn the failed policys Of the past several decades around. Back to a future with some hope, an America based on the the Limited Goverment constitution the US was founded on. Support of Mitt Romney for president is the only TEA PARTY choice we have. The alternate choice is destruction of the American dream.

Of course they support Romney. The Tea Party has been just a bunch of war mongers whining about how to have more wars, and Romney offers them the biggest most disastrous wars ever.

Romney who has the Tea Party support has positioned himself for a military standoff with Iran, so I would imagine that is what he is referring to.

Then it's lose/lose for him since the Obama Administration is going down the same path.
