The US is burdened with illegal alien-caused huge costs, disruption of medical care facilities, conversion of government schools into mexican institutions, the balkanization of the country, crime, distortion of politics; corruption of politicians, banks, employers etc.

It is important to understand that this isn't just because of what the government at all levels doesn't do, but also because of what they DO.

In California, as I've already pointed out, the UC systems charges illegal aliens from other countries in-state tuition (set aside the fact that they enroll them at all!), but US citizens from other states the much more expensive out of state tuition, and this even in contravention of federal law.


Now, there's more:

(1) Schwarzeneggar is creating a state guarantee of health insurance for everyone in the state, including the millions of illegal aliens.

(2) A california city, Escondido, one of the localities desperate about the drain on city services by illegals, passed a law making it illegal to rent to an illegal alien. The state just passed a law nullifying such laws by localities.

It's illegal to discriminate in housing, that one's gone all the way up the Supreme Court already, so, end of argument, I guess. Right?

About the Schwarzenegger thing, he's trying to do the same thing that Romney did in Massachusetts, and that latter piece seems to have worked pretty well.

Note however, that this is private insurance we're talking about, not "universal government healthcare".

Medicare and Medicaid is.

I say the Feds rip those two coverages from Kahleefohneeah, until they quit trying to secede from the Union.

No regarding illegal aliens, this is not private - illegal aliens would be paid for with Medicaid. One good thing about that is instead of the illegal aliens unpaid medical bills being shifted onto only californians, people all over the country would be stuck with them - let's see how they like that.
