Default Repubs, Why do you hate Hillary?

Quote:
(CBS) To call them a political odd couple would be a rash understatement.

Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch will host a fundraiser for liberal New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the Financial Times reports.

The mating ritual of the unlikely allies has been under way for months. Clinton set political tongues to wagging last month by attending a Washington party celebrating the 10th anniversary of Fox News, the cable news channel owned by Murdoch.

The Financial Times quoted one unnamed source as describing the Clinton-Murdoch connection in this way: "They have a respectful and cordial relationship. He has respect for the work she has done on behalf of New York. I wouldn't say it was illustrative of a close ongoing relationship. It is not like they are dining out together." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1600694.shtml

Default Why?

I think the question you're asking has somewhat of a simple answer and I'm pretty sure that hate has nothing to do with it (at least I'd hope so).

The "Hate" that you're talking about will usually come from:
(a) People trying to change others minds by the use of slander.
(b) People feeling so strongly about "one side" that anything from the "other side" simply irritates them.

People who consider themselves "Republicans" won't vote for a "Democrat".
People who consider themselves "Vegans" will not eat a "Big Mac".

Much respect to all Republics, Democrats, Vegans and yes... Big Mac's!

Default "hate" can come from many places

"Hate" is a funny thing - it can be "real and meaningful", or "stupid and meaningless".

Consider: "hatred" of, say, someone with a different pigmentation, is kinda the "dumb and meaningless" kind, right?

On the other hand, someone repeatedly tramples on your boundaries, and you're gonna move to "protect", right? And that, "practical action", will often have some semblance of "hatred" lurking along with it, kinda in "background mode" there.....

And it's that latter piece that most applies to Bushie. That guy's just a bully in a china shop, he like to trample on people's boundaries and he doesn't even know or care most of the time.

It's the former piece that applies to Hillary though, right? You know.... "darn socialists" - that kind of hatred, is just prejudice, as far as I can tell. Like, you know, we've never really had a socialist Prez, right?

I would assume that what you're saying is: "I'm a Republican, but I decided to vote for Bill because he seemed like the better candidate."

If that's the case, that would put you in a minority that I sincerely respect. You look into what each candidate is saying and vote for the person that (in your opinion) will do the best job.

Question 1:
How many people actually bother to inform themselves? (I'd like to hear your thoughts...)

Question 2:
How many people actually vote in the US?

Answer 2:
For the President (in the last 40 years): 50-60%
For the US Congress (2006): 36.8%
For the US Senate (2006): 29.7%

The way I see it, a large number of voters don't take enough time to inform themselves on who stands for what and base their vote (pretty much) on either 'R' or 'D'. (and that's if they even bother to show up)

Much respect.

Yeah, that's kinda my view, too.

Clinton = Bush.

Bush = Clinton.

Same crap, just a different face. (Or "faces" )

They're both dumb as doornails.... Hillary's probably "a little" smarter, but not much.....

I mean, how can I say this - Hillary is, "I have lots of good ideas, and the People don't have enough money", and....

Bushie is, "I have no good ideas, and the People don't have enough money".

Default .

I too voted for Bill Clinton, both times.

The reason I dislike the Hildabeast, is because her policies aren't democratic. They're RAVING SOCIALIST. Joe McCarthy would have had her imprisoned, back in the 50's. Her wishy-washy opinions, and empty promises define the entire left half of congress right now.

...and, personally, I do not trust the woman. You name me one other woman who catches her husband cheating on her, multiple times, and just lets it all roll off her back, no harm no foul.

Nope...she's as plastic as that marriage she's in.

Her policies are pretty extreme. I can't imagine how she has convinced anyone that she is a moderate.

I see her as someone who will say or do anything for a vote even if it means selling out our country to socialism.

Who knows, she could actually believe what she says. Either way I don't like her.

Yeah - here's what I see happening with Prez Hillary:

You know how the 109th Congress kinda gave Bushie "whatever he wanted"?

Well, I kinda see a Democratic Congress giving Hillary "whatever she wants".

So, what we're gonna end up with, is kinda the same problem we have with Bushie, only it's gonna come from the opposite side of the aisle.

It's like, the Prez will submit legislation and ramrod it home, you know, in all the usual ways, like last minute wording changes in midnight conferences and so on -

I mean - how do you think a Democratic Congress would react to Hillary?

Ried, and Pelosi, and so on.... do you think they'd all be "one big happy family", or do you think there's be a little "dissension" in the house?
