Paul lost me when he balmed Amercia for 9/11

I do not know why that is such a hard thing for people to grasp. Those comments sank any chance he had of getting the nomination

When he blurts out that stupidity, the crowd lets him have it, and he has a shocked look on his face over the reaction of the voters

The fact he has a shocked look tells me how deranged Ron Paul really is

It's just as difficult for me to grasp that people honestly don't believe that our actions overseas don't have consequences. Just take a look at any of the colonial nations. The British, the Spanish, the Dutch... all of them were cast into conflict by trying to control the actions of people in other parts of the world. Could he have worded his statement better? Of course, but keeping the public uneducated about what's going on in the world is what our media is all about.

Paul is an old coot and he said what he believed

The voters have rejected his comments and him as a viable candidate

His few supporters will have to deal with that reality

What are the consequences of us sending people all over the world hundreds of billions of dollars. Every year for many decades. Do they get angry and send it back? What are the consequences of us sending millions of tons of food all over the world? How many got pissed off about that and sent it back? What are the consequences of us building hospitals and schools all over the world?
How many countries has the USA conquered and made slaves? How many places have we taken away their liberty and their human rights?

What are the consequences of all those overseas actions?

A lot of that money goes to keeping governments in power and not really helping the people. Of course they are going to ask for more......

And as to the food aid.. think about this, If a people who lived in the middle of the dessert where there is no steady supply of food and clean water. Would they continue to live in the middle of the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing dessert if we did not continue to feed them? And its not like they are doing well with our governments food help. Millions still die, and the few who stay continue to suffer as the best of the goods go to militants and the scrapings go to the people. The people in power there will continue the status quo as long as we continue to support them under the banner of " aid". Cut off the aid, and eventually the people will move to an area that supports life.

There are non-government programs that reach the actual people in need and it comes from volunteers and not taken from me by our government.

Britain, Rome, Spain, Mongol and many more empires became too big for their governments to govern, finance and control.

The concept is not that difficult to learn. It’s just ignorance, hate, greed that blinds individuals to this history lesson. All these empires contributed to the nations they controlled and brought a lot of advances to the people. However it doesn’t change the FACT that they all eventually failed.

Our country is expediting this process by not paying wars, not paying for foreign aid, and not paying for domestic spending. We are heading for total collapse of our empire quicker than empires of the past.
I fear not terrorist, I fear the loss of liberty.

Just one comment on your ill conceived post. Did they live in the desert before 1776? For 10,000 years? Yes. If we had sent them NOTHING, would they still live in the desert? Yes they would. Its completely asinine to claim that our food ALLOWS them to live where they have lived since time immaterial.

And we send food to jungles and frozen climes too, it doesn't make them go live in a desert!

I know he has me on ignore, but real quick. If they lived in the desert for so long, why do they need our help? Seems like they have done well this long without it, why are we feeding them now? More like feeding the war lords that confiscate the food?
Liberalism; such great ideas, they need to force you to follow them.
