I've had it with the politics of the government. Bush has never stressed an outright desire to go to war with Iran; he merely said it was still on the table. And unless something has drastically changed from the short time ago, he was still advocating diplomatic negotiations. The UN has been nagging Amadhenajad over this for the past several years. We've been treating it like fact, that this a**hole had a nuclear weapons program and he not only admitted it, but stated defiantely that world opinion was not going to shut it down!
Now new intel says that his "program" has been (for lack of better words) dead for the past three years and people want to bash Bush? This is not Bush's fault. This is now one's fault. There wasn't even an accident to regret here! The little $hithead was lying to us. They're doing the same thing they did with Iraq. They think they can pawn something off as an error on Bush's part. At leas with Iraq they could blame him for jumping the gun; but here... there's nothing! NOTHING! W..T....F! It defies logic! Just as soon as I think they have a few good points, the left* side has to go and do something like this. I was beginning to get tired of Bush but now, I actually feel sorry for him. He can't do anything that would please them (safe for resigning). It doesn't matter what each party has done in the past, the left right now are too partisan that they won't stop bashing him. He kept it to negotiations and they're still bashing him. Is there anybody else who sees these horrible contradictions in the Democratic Party**... or am I the only sane one? * I state the left side merely because they are the side that is in question. I do not deny that the right side has bad points. ** Similar to the above note, the Republican party has it's share of contradictions, but this post is focusing on one particular contradiction made primarily by the Democratic party. That said, if responders could stay concentrated on analyzing said alleged contradiction I'd appreciate it. |

If Iran had nuked Israel yesterday they would be blaming Bush for not having done anything to stop them....
Aren't you thrilled to know that in regards to the important issue of Irans nuclear(possibly weapon) program the Democrat/Lefty answer is Bush is a poopy head. Doesn't that just give you unbridled confidence in the abilties of the utterer to deal with real world issues like this! .. Democrats need to kick their leadership in the butt..stop pandering to the conspiracy theory/Far Left crowd..oppose Bush or whomever with rational statesman like thought not turd flinging..before they are taken seriouslly by many many many people. IOW they need to be taken over by their moderates. Right now the public face of the Democrat Party as a whole is a shanty town full of tin foil hat wearing lunatics...whose "solutions" look better in crayon and whose primary excuse is Bush is bad. ...a refuge of the Far Left. .... If you want to see massive contradictions from the left/Democrats just take this Iran thing, the North Korean nuclear thing, and Iraq Surge effects and look at what has been said in regards to each recently and in the past. In doing so you will be amazed in the ability of these people to completely contradict themselves, dismiss undeniable facts, and simply "solve" the entire thing with Bush is a poopy head. All the while acting as if they haven't done anything of the kinds. |

Perhaps the entire world was going on US intelligence? Sounds ridiculously unlike the UN and Europe but ... Even so, it's not like he was using it to puch anything this time. In Iraq, I can sort of buy the bickering because at least he was basing war off an uncertainty. Here...
"Amadehnajad, do you have a nuclear weapons program?" "Yes!" "Will you stop?" "No!" There's no reason to get pi$$y with Bush! They're just scraping the bottom of the barrel for ways to make him look bad when, in reality, they're just as clueless if not more. |

Please tell me, O iran defenders - why does iran have 3000 centrifuges to enrich uranium? Oh, I know, a nation sitting on an ocean of oil needs nuke plants for energy. Did anyone note the announcement about a week ago of Iran's announcement of it it's new 2000 km range Ashoura ballistic missile?
http://www.missilethreat.com/ Enough range to hit most of the middle east, southern and eastern europe, and of course, Israel. Apparently, Iran has no known centralized program now for the production of the nuts and bolts of a nuclear weapon. I'm concerned that they could produce enriched uranium over a long period of time, do the bomb components secretly, and in the future, have the ability to quickly assemble 50 or 100 bombs. Let's just see if europeans, like the french and germans, who expressed alarm over these developments in Iran, are completely sanguine about the new IE report from american intelligence, the people who have been wrong time and again. I predict not.

I think I got it. Something has changed in the past few months that I haven't seen. It's the only logical explanation. I miss the news for a few weeks, I'm left out.
I'm saying this all from the perspective that up untill now, we had just been negotiating with Iran, and that Iran had admitted to possessing a nuclear weapons program. Has Bush been pushing something these past few months that I haven't heard of (ie: War)? Or perhaps I just never understood what all the hooplah was about. At least I could have sworn that Amadhenajad had admitted defiantly that they were researching nuclear technololgy. And from my understanding, Bush had been advocating diplomacy with the option of war still open in case things got worse. Could someone help me out here, because this thing just seems ridiculously bigger than it should be. |

It's weird how you guys can find out that Bush is wrong about everything -- AGAIN -- and take it as an opportunity to attack liberals. Seriously. That's bizarre. |

I just saw on CNN that Iran has a nuclear plant in the works for '08. Didn't we just decide that their program was, for all practical purposes, dead... This country is schizophrenic, I swear.

"Advocating diplomatic negotiations"?
Are you nuts? Bushie wouldn't even talk to the Iranians, for the longest time. "We don't talk to our enemies", remember? Bush is an idiot, a fool. He deserves to be slammed. Miscreant no-good friggin' OSTRICH. Bush.... He's a rotten President. The sooner we get rid of him, the better. |
