To answer the larger question presented in the OP.

It is because the Soviets never started World War III.

If the Soviets had even started a simple nonnuclear World War III by invading West Germany, starting a conflict that killed 1.4 million people in about 30 days (my exhaustively researched figure) then it would've brought the reality of the Soviet Union and the inhumanity and brutality of communism home to western elites.

As it was, the way the Soviet Union collapsed tends to evoke pity among people rather than hatred and outrage.

The Nazis made most of their political alliances to gain power on the right. They were a conservative party in that their policies were about conserving what they saw as traditions.

Sure Western and USA capitalist systems invested to researched and suddenly discovered hight numbers of starvation and Stalinist deaths. Well I can assure you is all lairs and nonsense.
