Thread: Gays are better for the environment/planet than straights

  1. Default Gays are better for the environment/planet than straights

Gays are more beneficial to the environment/planet than heterosexuals are, assuming they have fewer/no children.

While I'm not gay, or against heterosexuals, this does help show people who have a magic invisible friend in the sky ("god") - who are the main ones against gays, that they are not better than gays, like their invisible friend says. In fact, they are a tad bit worse...if one cares for the environment/planet.

Straight people who practice family planning are, from this standpoint, likely equal to gays. But people who follow the teachings of their prophet (prophets seem to always want their followers to over-populate, so the prophet can become more powerful, in life and after his (it always a HE) death). The bible teaches this in Psalm 127:3-5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quiverfull

Muslims follow this approach. Mormons do. Catholics, definitely! But a Secular Humanist approach is better for the planet, obviously.

The also believe the earth is going to END soon (and that's a good thing they think!) so no incentive to help save the planet, obviously.

Seven billion people and counting, so folks may want to start practicing voluntary family planning, if they care about our planet.

Also more fecal matter get's spread around the park while the gay guys are having anal sex under a blanket while you and your family walk by.

It helps fertilize the grass you know.

You forgot to cheer the effect AIDS is having on the population. I think it's a stupid as your original post but certainly in keeping with it.

If that's all you got then I'll take it that you basically (reluctantly) agree with the OP, but don't have any substantive rebuttal, except "my magic invisible friend in the sky SAYS to, so I blindly believe it!". Sorry, but that seems true, my friend.

People really can't argue with the OP, can they? So it's time to re-think just which invisible friends we follow, talk to, fear, kill for, hate for, etc.....if any.

The Bible/Quran/Torah/Hindu texts teach hatred. If we can remove the underlying cause of that hatred....

Gays are right up there with priests and nuns, vying for the best Earth Day citizen.

If you want to actually debate the OP that's fine but its rather pointless. First of all, no religious teaching preaches the principle of over-populating the earth in order to increase religious power. Find me one example of this somewhere out of any religion. "Go forth and multiply" is not an example of overpopulating the earth.

Second of all, we are so far from over population that its laughable. There is zero threat of us being in danger of that. You can't look at a place like Mexico City and extrapolate that to the entire earth.

This post is really bordering on the ludicrous which is why I gave an appropriate response to it.

    Homosexuality is a disease.

Like most diseases, it combats "overpopulation".

It wouldn't surprise me if the next logical step for a person like the OP is that mass murders is good for the planet. Some people seem to be losing it.

A better case instead of this ridiculous homosexuality will save the planet is wealth saves the planet. If one looks at the more wealthy western industrialized world, one sees that the population growth rate slows, the vast majority of population growth is in third world conditions. The poor on average have more kids then wealthy individuals.

    1. Half of homosexuals are largely un-effected by AIDS (lesbians), I believe.

    2. Actually, hetrosexuals in Africa have been hit real hard by AIDS, because religion (The Pope, especially) disapproves (for only ridiculous reasons) of condoms. Little children are dying by the thousands because of religion, but Christians are too scared of going against religious decrees that they sit idly by....scared of simply saying that their religion is wrong. Another example of Secular Humanism being far more moral than religion.

    3. WHO THE HELL said I "cheer" the population being reduced because of disease? If I could cure AIDS I'd do it today, unlike some Mormons I've meat ("let's kill the gays and let god sort them out"....because that's what their texts basically imply.)

Nowhere has Richard Dawkins written to kill gays because a magic man said to, and I'm sure he's spoken against the practice. Jesus didn't say that, Mohammad didn't say that. They are far inferior to Dawkins. They espouse fear and magic, vs. Dawkin's science, reason, and critical thinking.

    You will lose this war.

Absolutely wrong. In your simplistic thinking "birth control = genocide". Unreal.

Let me ask you this, speaking of mass murder, which one gives their children a book that says to MURDER gays? 1. Richard Dawkins. or 2. Muslims/Christians Jews?

It's obvious which belief system advocates mass murder.
