After-birth” abortions now being considered morally acceptable

Two Australian bio-ethicists are creating a stir among pro-life and pro-choice advocates with an article arguing for “after-birth abortion.”

Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva claim a fetus and newborn are the same; therefore, if a fetus can be aborted, a newborn can also be “terminated.”

“Many humans are not considered subjects of a right to life: spare embryos where research on embryo stem cells is permitted, fetuses where abortion is permitted, criminals where capital punishment is legal,” they note.

The article has revived the “personhood” debate, with pro-lifers noting the ethicists fail to indicate at what age killing a child would be considered murder.

The Supreme Court has already decided that it’s a civil right for you to be able to murder your child as they grow in the womb. Does anyone really think this idea won’t gain traction?

You mean, the children you refuse to take care of after they're born? The children you refuse to let parents plan for with contraceptives?

Infanticide is murder. Anybody who engages in it should be executed.

Hmmm if your having children under the assumption that your going to need government to take care of them then maybe you are not responsible enough to be having kids.

If you cannot have sex without getting pregnant only because the government will not buy your birth control then I think we should save the kids and put these idiot breeders in front of the ditch instead.

How did the whole "not having sex if you aren't ready" thing work for Bristol Palin?

You only care about the children while they can be used as a political wedge issue. You don't care about preventing their unwanted conception or providing resources for them once they're in the world.
