It isn't self-defense if you chase somebody down and end up shooting them. Neighborhood watch people aren't supposed to be armed. The police dispatcher told Zimmerman to NOT follow him but he did anyway. The SYG law doesn't cover the circumstances of this murder.

Zod's fear of guns has nothing to do with the subject.
I think this will be investigated and if the evidence appears to be what it seems to be, I think Zimmerman will have a problem but I will let the investigators and the courts decide that. Chasing someone down is not the same as stand your ground where you have the right to defend yourself if attacked and most Castle Doctrines are only valid defending your physical self in your own house, property, curtilage, or in your own car. Zimmerman also disobeyed police directions.
