Thread: Ann Romney Slammed for Being a Stay at Home Mom, Sarah Palin Slammed for Working

  1. Default Ann Romney Slammed for Being a Stay at Home Mom, Sarah Palin Slammed for Working

If you are a woman, you can't win with liberals.

They attack Ann Romney for staying at home to raise her five children.

They attack Sarah Palin for being a working mom of five children.

Let's face it. Liberals are on the warpath against women.

    Liberals hate all women.

If you think Romney is a "stay at home mom" in any classic sense of that description, I have a bridge I wanna sell ya.

That said no one should begrudge Ann for the life she's pulled off for herself. Well maybe the really really dull Mitt pick for hubby, but that's just opinion on my part.

my guess is...the beef with Romney is not that she is a stay at home mom, but that she is a stay at home mom with a housekeeper and a chauffeur and a gardener and a cook and an au pair.

You are delusional - Palin does not have a job, and Romneys hire illegal baby sitters

Well, my opinion is that you are only partially right.

I don't think anyone really has a "beef" with Mrs. Romney staying at home, not even with the multi millions that allow her to have 24/7 staff and make more from her own wealth without lifting a finger than 100 women working full time and raising as many kids as she has. . .

I believe that the "beef" comes when her "struggle" as a women raising kids under those circumstances are presented as a FALSE equivalency to those 100 women who work full time to keep a roof over their and their children's head, to put food on the table, and still have to worry about what would happen if they lose their job, if their kids get sick, or how to save to put their kids through college.

It's like saying that two women are equally wealthy and secure, since both are wearing an engagent ring. . .one being worth $150,000 dollars, and the other being a zirconia worth $150.

And this is "metaphore" is far from showing the extend of the difference! Because, no matter how much a mother love her child, (in fact, more she does love her child) and more emotionally difficult it is for her to deal with the economic insecurity of caring for that child, and about the emotional stress caused by worrying about helping that child develop his/her full potential for a bright future.

So that's going to be your strategy. You're going to attack Romney and his wife because they are wealthy.

That's not going to work. Obama's record on the economy is so bad you're not going to get people to vote for him no matter what.

we're just sayin'...to call Romney a "stay at home mom" is just a bit disingenuous. Most stay at home moms don't have household staff. The whole thing about being a stay at home mom is not that you can stay home, but that you have to work you butt off in the kitchen, the laundry, the garden and cleaning throughout the house AND take care of kids. The Romney's have "people" for those things.

Ann Romney seems like a very nice person. It's pretty disgusting to attack a person like her just because her husband is running for President.
