Thread: No political parties

Haha sorry for the caps, had to get people's attention!

What do you think about banning political parties? I'm just curious. I don't really hold a stance on it, but I have thought about the idea once in a while.

I would naturally favor this. I'd also take the first ticket off this planet if I could, too. That's how frustrated and sick of this system.

Yeah that's how I feel too, but I'm undecided because I haven't done any research. Just going off of my gut I feel like there would be more of a focus on the individual's beliefs, there wouldn't be any voting for your party just to make sure a Dem or Rep don't get the office, as well as other things.

There's probably a good amount of cons too... Like I said, need to do my research. Until then I'm interested to see people's current positions on it.

I don't see how politics is workable without political parties of some description.

I think there are already too many people that are trying to ban everything. The last thing we need is more banning.

Won't work. Madison addressed this issue in the Federalist Papers, specifically #10. They thought about this issue and decided it not only would be impossible but also against the foundation of what they were writing the Constitution to stand for. Not allowing people to come together to present their views as a group would be undue governmental regulation on personal liberties. Jefferson also spoke at length about political parties and agreed they should not be limited.

One would have to go against the very form in which politics is expressed within society itself ,good luck with that!

its not Political party's pre-say thats the prob,its the Nature of the social forces they represent ,eg;Republicans and Democrats ,in the USA ,are politcal party's formed and developed on the 'National Intrest'which in Class terms is capitialist Intrest's.

Whereas the SEP ,Socialist Equality party is based on International intrests,or global Working Class intrests,all political party's are based on Class Intrest's ,as we live in a Class divided Capitialist society where everything is based on money or the lack of.

So ,basically as their are 2 major classes confronting each other with totally opposed Class interests,economic ;ie Workers want higher wages and better Conditions whereas the Capitialist Class is imposing Austerity ,lower like 50% lower wages and well as far as social conditions open your eyes they will tell you.



One can sum the true political nature of our Global society thus ,All the stinking Corrupt Stupid ,Bankrupt and imploding Political Party's of capitialist nation states BAR NONE ,Verses the International Political party of the Working Class or SEP the 4th International.

The choice is yours as to which Class intrest's and which class you support as to the Political Party you may decide to join or tacitly support .

And a group of humans that agree on very defined political outlook ,are always stronger then just individuals ,when we have the successfull World Socialist Revolution,which has already started in process,and the need of any form of State or government dies away to communism .

Then and only then will Political party's ,as all class division will cease as will the class war and the need for revolution ,actually,become obsolete and be done away with .

I bet you didn't know that one of the central Political and historical perspectives of the Party of the proletariet is its own dissolution .But that is the difference between a real revolutionary socialist Party ,like the SEP ,and all the pretenders of the "Middle Class liberal Left".
