Should Australians Return the Land to the Native People and Return to the UK?:



I say yes.

Australians are a progressive people and clearly put justice ahead of economic concerns.

They should right the wrongs of the past and become an example of rolling back the wrongs of British Imperial policies.

Really, it's a moral no-brainer, if you think about it.

P.S.: same question to our New Zealander friends.

I say um no. Because most Australians there today were born there and thus ARE native people. To argue otherwise makes the preposterous argument that everyone not of Native American ancestry should get out of North America and go back to Europe or Africa or Latin America too.

Try telling that one to over half of L.A. or N.Y. or better yet hahahahaha if you don't like that argument.

By that reasoning then Barack Obama himself has no business as President, as he has no business in this nation to start with, as well he is clearly NOT of Native North American descent..

If such liberal "white angst" clap trap were ever taken seriously, let alone actually enacted, I could just see the headlines now...and oh yeah the liberal (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about it too.

Let's all leave everywhere and go back to the Rift Valley. It'll be a bit crowded but what the hell.

These people support the same nonsense in Israel so they should just get up and leave the US since the land clearly belonged to the Native Americans.

Knowing a little about DonGlock i can tell he's being sarcastic (right Don?) towards many Aussies from this forum that suggest or suggested that wrong doings such as land theft from the natives done by the nowadays Americans (and or westerners/whites) should be corrected. He is now asking you do to the same, which you don't seem to be taking very well. Perhaps not making the suggestion in the first place would've been wiser.

Then again my interpretation could be wrong, if thats the case,...yeah whatever.

Sarcasm or not, DonGlock26 knows little about Australian what's been happening in Australia the last 20 years or so.

1. Thanks to Mabo, the indigenous people of Australia have be recognised an the traditional carers of the land,, in the past, the present and the future.

2. The Australian government under Kevin Rudd has said sorry for all the wrong doings by Europeans to the Aboriginal people.

Apparently some people on this site are immune to sarcasm.

Anyway, would the Australians have to return directly back to the jails that they came from, or could they get some sort of parole?

Sarcasm? It has its place but is that place a whole opening post? It would have been better to frame it within a broader context. e.g.

Australians on PF seem to criticise the United States for its historical and contemporary treatment of its indigenous peoples. But Australians should realise that their history isn't all that clean when it comes to dealing with indigenous people. If they're so critical of the US on this then why don't they up and leave their continent, return it to its indigenous people and go back to where they all came from?
