Default Sarah Palin Is Planning A 'Coup' Against Romney At The Convention. (It's Possible)

There is big time talk about this at her 'Pac' and 'Conservatives4Palin' website and I believe it to be true. I worked in her campaign in 08 and I find that this is a high possibility for happening. The reason for this is that she hasn't endorsed Romney at all. The fact is that Romney is losing his base and he can't energize it at all, especially conservatives to come out swinging for him. On the other hand, Palin can. She draws massive crowds and she invokes patriotism and enthusiasm in her speeches that stimulates the GOP, conservative base and independents. The proof is evident during the mid term elections when she endorsed conservative candidates on the campaign trail and went on the attack against Obama in a vicious fashion. She hammered him over shutting rig production down during the BP oil spill and hammered him over 'Death Panels' in his 'Affordable Care Act' law. It resonated with voters and many of her endorsements won. Now this could happen at the convention. Romney is severely wounded and conservatives and hardcore GOP voters are not impressed. Conservative talk show hosts like Mark Levin, Rush, Michael Savage and Sean Hannity are upset with Romney's refusal to go on the offensive against Obama and state he isn't even trying to fight back against Obama's attacks. Palin is fully vetted and is not afraid to attack Obama on any issue. She resonates because she attacks 'crony capitalism' and 'corruption', something she did in Alaska as governor giving her a 90% approval rating. If she does this at the convention like Eisenhower did it against wounded favorite Robert Taft at the GOP convention years ago in 1952, she has my support. She can take Romney, reenergize the party and beat Obama for the Presidency just like she did in Alaska going up agaist two powerful politicians named Governor Tony Knowles, a incumbent and Governor Frank Murkowski beating them both while being outspent.

I'm not saying let's kill all the stupid people, I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.

maybe its a silly conspiracy to consider...

but Mccain supposedly vetted romney to be his VP.....and in that process viewed more than a decade of Romneys taxes....

did Palin get wind of something Mccain saw that she thinks will tank his chances? Im still of mind that the Obama admin is obsessing over his taxes because they know hes got something in them that he wants to hide.

    however....

Mccain still endorsed Romney (but as the 08 nominee he had little choice)....and Palin just likes to keep her name in the headlines, and I really dont believe she wants to run. Unless shes got someone else in mind....but I cant imagine who.

Obama took that 3am phone call....and then shot OBL in the face.

In the dozen or so primaries and caucuses held that year, Taft won nearly 2.8 million Republican votes, as compared with only 2 million for Dwight Eisenhower.
But about three-quarters of the states had neither primaries nor caucuses. Their delegates were chosen at state party conventions, and those delegates answered to powerful state officeholders, typically the state governor.

While I agree on your assessments of Ms. Palin, I don't feel she, Ron Paul or anyone is interested in a "Brokered Convention" or in fact could it be possible. Most States have rules, committing the elected delegates to the peoples choice, even if only on the first ballot.

Also I agree with you on Romney's lack of personality (my words), but then Obama won in 2008 based on a perceived likable personality. Palin should probably get a "prime time" speaking appointment, as should Paul, which would help the most if Romney can later come up with a decent "debate" program, against Obama.

Two weeks ago I would have laughed at this idea.

But now I'm not so sure.

Romney is marching toward November as if he were wearing snowshoes.
