Denying people the right to marry because of their gender is the same thing as denying blacks equal rights. This is the gay civil rights movement, and they won't stop until they are treated with dignity and respect.

This is why the extremists on the gay-marriage side can't be taken seriously - the way they try to equate anyone who doesn't approve of gay marriage as "spreading hate speech" against homosexual people themselves. That would be like saying anyone who doesn't want marijuana to be legal must completely hate pot smokers as human beings. These guys are just as intolerant as any extreme anti-gay fundie pastor from the Bible Belt you could name, and they go way beyond just wanting equal rights - they want to "force" you to "like gays" or "approve of gay marriage", or else face, harassment or slander from the "oh so tolerant" left.

Now gays will be able to adopt kids.

I think this is a valid comparison. And I'd also like to add that unlike black folks, no one in America was ever a slave based on their sexuality. They were never not counted as citizens. It's always been illegal to kill them. This cannot be said for black folks. Stop and think about the horror of that for a second. At one point in time, right here in the United States of America - the land of the free, it was perfectly legal to kill black people. That ought to make your stomach turn. Now compare that to what homosexuals are upset about. Does it not seem rather petty in comparison? This is a big reason why I think comparing homosexuality to civil rights is a huge slap in the face to everyone who suffered through slavery. It trivializes the truly apalling subhuman treatment that some people really have gone through as a result of not being legally recognized as equal. This isn't even apples and oranges. It's apples and motor oil.

Sorry, but thats a logical fallacy. Please try against using an actual argument. Having your dick cut off with a butter knife doesn't make stubbing your toe feel better.
