People remembered the greek athletic games from hundreds of years ago enough to name something after them. So, It seems that athletic accomplishment does get remembered.

You supported Pinochet. And were instrumental in the deaths of thousands of Chileans.

No, I never supported Pinochet or his regime. The CIA did.

    Nice try though.

Remind us all, when is Kiwiland going to launch its first space probe? No doubt crewed by a Border Collie or two.

Meanwhile, the Brits are making a laughing stock of the Yanks.

Who. somewhat irrelevantly, are pleading that the Chinese athletes are state-funded.

    Good for you.

Perhaps corpratism is not the tasty thing you thought it was? Maybe communism works?

Yeah, you remember all the famous Greek athletes right? How many can you name (besides Hercules)?
Behind this mask, there is more than flesh and blood. Behind this mask is an idea. And ideas are bulletproof.

Q: President Obama, how can you target innocent women and children with your drone strikes?

A: Easy, you just don't lead them as much.

No it doesn't. I'd wager that you can't name each invidual member of the US cycling team from the 2008 games. The bottom line is that the games are interesting, make for great television and earn a pile of advertising money. But they don't define a country or its citizens. No one cares. Except for the little no account countries like New Zealand.

Next you will tell me the CIA is not American.

    Go on. Tell me.

Hey, don't get me wrong. Playing games is fun. But don't confuse that with doing something constructive.
