Nobody need question a contender for president, because he's photogenic? Yaaaa - that makes HEAPS of sense.
It makes as much sense as assuming it's because he's a black man. The issue is, McCain and Clinton have decades of political history to pick apart and criticize. People have strong feelings pro and con about both of them because of that history. Obama, as a relative newcomer on the block, is just trying to avoid stepping in it too badly, thus dodging the hard shots.

It is the same advantage that the Breck Girl (John Edwards) had in 2004. 100 credits to any member who can remember the former poster here who always used that term to describe Edwards.

Hillary, unlike Obama, has been in the public eye and been involved in presidential level activities which have been extremely well-published and analyzed for 18 years - everyone knows what she is and what she'll do - there's no comparison.

Besides, in the primaries, who cares? That's essentially an internal party function. If the Dems want to use a flawed process to pick their nominee, that's their business. I'd think you'd be happy, seeing as how that would seem to help ensure McCain gets elected instead of Obama.
You have it backwards - it'll help the most liberal person in the senate get elected because his extremism has never been exposed.

Nonetheless, nobody has tried very hard to pin her down on specifics.

Um, even if I accept your characterization of Obama (notice how the Democratic nominee is always "the most liberal person" in the Senate? Really, how many "most liberals" are there, anyway?), I've already said that there's no way he'll make it through the general without scrutiny. Do you disagree?

It makes no sense to shield a candidate from scrutiny and then throw them into the general election where the scrutiny is intense. So if you think that's what the media and Dems are doing, then you should be happy, because there's a fatal flaw in their selection process.

That line worked for Reagan. It doesn't really work for you.

So now you're using the "black blogosphere" as evidence that the mainstream media is giving Obama a pass because of his skin color?

People like you are the only ones that have a problem with his race. He definitely hasn't gotten a Free Pass on this forum.

Let you tell it anybody that is even considered Black gets a Free Black Pass in society, but when asked what that Free Pass is you don't have a clue.

Once and for all please give us a list of all these Free Black Passes and where you get them from.
