Default Question about 9/11

In your opinion, why did terrorists attack us on 9/11?

I ask this question, because I think that the accepted reasons are wrong! I think this is a good video to address this!

Just so people know, this guy criticizes Bush, but he criticizes clinton even more! He is not partisan, he just tells it the way it is!

I was really hoping to get some replies! So I will be more specific!

Do you think they attacked us because as GW says "they hate our freedom"?

Did they attack us because, as some on this board seem to think that muslims hate non-muslims and this is a global religious war?

Is it, as michael scheuer seems to think, because of our foreign policy?

Or is it because of other reasons?

Is it some of all those things combined?

I really think this is an important debate to have, because in order to be successful in a war like this, it is very important to understand the motivations of your enemy!

D= I'm less than 30 minutes away from a border! Help me!!!

Lol

The thing that gets me is that if their goal is to get rid of our troops and our influence, then why do something that will provoke a response?

Bin Laden was pretty much spot on.

US dropping bombs in the mideast
US support of Saudi Arabia Prince's human rights abuses
US support of Israel
US support of corruption

It was payback. Still more to come.

They certainly didn't attack us for our "freedoms" (the dumbest assertion I've ever heard).

They attacked us because of our occupation of Arab countries, our bombing of Arab countries and a plethora of other things that motivate people to retaliate against us.

It's unfortunate the victims of 9/11 are being prostituted by the Bush Administration to further perpetuate a political agenda. Furthermore, it is sad that the victims of 9/11 are essentially forgotten because of the Iraq War and the perpetrators haven't been brought to justice because of aforementioned war.

1) We are not a country run by the religion of Islam.
2) Because of our influence, we are seen as a threat to their religion.
3) The Quran dictates that each Islamic should spend their lives destroying those who threaten the religion, in the name of Allah.

I think the main reason is our support for Israel and that the Jewish lobby dictates U.S. foreign policy in the middle east.

Default blowback

blowback ... just as Dr. Paul presented and the other repubs chided

read obama's fatwa ... he tells us why he did it
[hint: the neocons' reasoning is wrong]
