Who says one's religion is based on what a book tells you to believe. Humans are not computers, they can make decisions for themselves. Many Christians don't agree with some things in the New Testament - does that make them less Christian? Differences in religions are just technicalities.

In this case, its the muslims themselves who say so. What do you think being muslim means? Clearly its a belief that muhammed, a raping, thieving, murdering, child abuser of a conqueror, was a perfect prophet (he was, for evil) and that the evil words of the unholy quran are from God.

But, sure, if they disown muhammed and the quran and still want to call themselves muslim for some strange reason, then thats fine. But, anyone who has enough conscience to condemn the quran and muhammed would seem unlikely then to take on such a label of pure shame and evil.

The problem is you cannot comprehend that someone is not going to question the book, well in Islam thats the way it is like it or not. Whats the penalty for converting to another religion or being a bad muslim (apostate)? Death!

Now knowing this are you going to question the religion if your a muslim?

Does this come from your extensive knowledge of Muslims? You could probably walk right by one on the street and not realize it. Some Muslims follow the Qur'an blindly, others take the good out of it and practice that. Unfortunately, your world is only filled with radicals, so there's no possible way you could understand this.

I still don't understand why it matters what the Qur'an says - if some Muslims peacefully practice their religion, why are people so intent on destroying all of them? Sharia laws are not practiced world-wide. There have been Muslims that have converted (the Pope baptized one on Easter) and not faced death. So your argument is weak.

No, that Muslims that don't follow the radical extremists' (isn't this redundant?) view of what a Muslim should be are okay and shouldn't be exterminated.

Even if Islam were completely wiped from the Earth, the government would still find some new bogeyman to keep us scared enough to sacrifice more freedoms every few months.

actually, ive read the quran and the hadiths. i see nothing wrong with what they say. its barbaric to you because you havent lived there. if everyone on the planet were muslims, there would be peace. but of course, to do that you would have to kill or convert a lot of people. id probably be at the top seeing as how im not just an unbeliever but a nonbeliever.
