Really? I've always thought very highly of dying for one's country. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's how most armies are built.

Do you really think suicide bombers etc are dying for their country? They do this for completely selfish reasons like ticket strait to heaven, 72 virgins and slave boys, yeah noble cause.

But it's not an assumption, given the nature of the Koran and the writings of the hadiths and suras. Islam has a strong militant aspect to it, and there's plenty of evidence to prove that statement.

And this is your assumption, and a specious one at that: who's to say education cannot change one's religious outlook and tolerance? The whole course of Western history seems to indicate that the more education and civilization a people has, the more tolerance it attains.

So what? Who says your point is correct, other than you? So if i take a baby born in the middle east and it is adopted in say the US - is raised as an American with all the advantages of and American, when the child grows up he is going to be violent simply because he is of ME herritage?

Or are you saying the environement of the ME in which the child is raised is what causes the violence?
