Jesus said, "Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth, I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." Zen Master Hakuin said, "Should you desire the great tranquility, prepare to sweat beads." Jesus said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Zen koan, "If you know the sound of two hands clapping, what is the sound of one hand clapping?" Jesus said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand." Nan Chaun said, "If you approach/seek it, you will most certainly miss it."

Sorry, that is not accurate. Jesus spoke many koans, which are distinctly different from proverbs. They contain contradiction/paradox, for starters. Proverbs do not.
