I don't know if demons give me desire but to be alife you must desire something, our desires and insanities are part of us. Desires are good things, I would say positive forces, the desire to consume and produce, are different, those who desire to produce are at a higher plain than those who desire to consume, I would say both desires exist simultaneously in all humans varying in degrees, a thief/ mobster obviously having more desire to consume than produce and a scientist/ industrialist having more desire to produce.
The slavers want to be seen as the producers the contributors of original thought and everyone else just to follow their lead, it is all over the papers, to be seen as the contributor to production one appears as the brains of a society by destroying those they consider to be slaves to merely desires consumption, unfortunately at times people want to produce it is when they react to subdue this threat even though what they consider a threat would just be another human using his/ her talent but does better than those who desire to enslave, then they crush this enemy, but that enemy was not aware they are en enemy.
Yes, desire is the fundamental essence of all our actions we should be allowed to desire, but they only desire to promote the desires of heir ethnic groups.

I wasn't talking about free market, and I personally don't agree with you on that, but don't think that I am some crazy communist nutjob. I just meant that talking about production and consumption as means of keeping society regimented by race and by defining the production/consumption of the "enslaved" class by centralizing all of society's wealth at a single point IS Gramsci's theory in essence. He calls this "hegemony;" there is the one point of power that production is maintained for, and it keeps those that it "enslaves," to use the word that we are hanging on to, by making them dependant on eachother, and by making them imagine that they are culturally and ethnically different in a way that will make sure that they never get along. The way that he says they do this is primarily through the way history is deployed and through defining other people by their production/consumption. I am butchering this theory horribly, but it really isn't so scary as some other marxists, let's say Lenin or even Althusser. I see that you immediately became flippant when I suggested marxism to you, which is a common response, and that is what I was trying to prevent by explaining Gramsci... Gramsci isn't so crazy, and even if you don't end up agreeing with him, you may got something from reading him. There was a lot of in-fighting among the marxists, and a lot schisms between them, so to say that you disagree with all of them on every subject would be foolish. A lot of their stances on Marxism was as followed: "If Marx hadn't written, then I wouldn't be writing, but that doesn't mean I agree with him or even any other Marxists. I just think that people shouldn't be exploited and some things said by some marxists before me are useful to society, and I will carry that torch of 'marxism' even if it means disagreeing with a lot of other marxists." Just look him up even. No harm done. Or don't. Just thought that if all this discussion gets going about this type of exploitation, or "enslavement," based on making people lower in the class structure "consume," then I may bring in somebody who very intelligently dedicated his life to studying it and recording what he found.
