Cool Privacy

It is not a question of like or dislike, but everybody has a right to privacy even the Clintons. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080404/.../clinton_taxes

Do we have to know how much they earned, society is becoming sick, money better of in Luxumbourg, Singapore, Hong Kong, Panama, some privacy man, what business is it of anybody what anybody earns unless you work for a public corporation then shareholders need to know how much they are paying you to do the job, but from speeches, who needs to know but yourself.

I think the problem is firstly "Why so secretive?" and secondly when you're running for president, no, you don't get privacy. It's a job that effects the lives of not just 300 million but billions (what happens in the US effects everyone) everything they do (and I don't care if it's Hillery, Obama or McCain) should be looked at in detail.

Especially finances. I don't care that Hillery is rich, I knew they would be (I heard a long time ago the insane kind of money Bill gets for an hour long speech, but then If people want to pay, and obviously they do, then there's nothing wrong with doing it). The point is to be sure where their money comes from and goes to, that's all I'm interested in. That can reveal any number of things, both good and bad, (I'm sure there aren't too many politicians who've given away $10 million to charity in the last 7 years). It is absolutely appropriate for their finances (ALL politicians) to be public knowledge, if it is something they don't like then they can get an everyday job, being a politician should not be held at the same standards as everyone else. They should be held to considerably higher standards.

I thought they had to give that information out if they wanted to be in politics. Who really has a right to privacy are the celebrities that the media constantly hounds for pictures and dumb quotes.

I don't know, I bet you they hid some money in panama, Luxembourg, etc, Me if ever I make money I will pay my taxes but you don't need to know how much I have, you will search for it under my toe nails, I will not tell people my private affairs. I don't care who and what they will or would accuse me off.
