Why do the Clintons need so much money? They are always talking about how the poor deserve a better share. Why not give them all that money they don't need? They can't possibly spend it all on anything worthwhile. Do you know how many people they could lift out of poverty if they gave it all away but a million? How many middle class Americans would be satisfied to have a million dollars?

For their class warfare rhetoric to seem at all sincere, they need to give away that money.
Just because someone's poor doesn't mean they should only seek political representation from other poor people. As far as I know, Clinton donates and her and her family paid around 33 million in taxes at a rate of 31 percent or so. What specifically has she proposed that your against?

Maybe since she is advocating the wealthy pay out more in taxes she could have paid 40% or even 50% of that income and lead by example.

Even at 50% taxes the Clintons would have so much money left over they'd be lighting cigars with $100 bills.

I am a poor white person, and I don't like her class warfare rhetoric. Its not the fault of rich white people that I am working poor. But, I will tell you that I have been trying to start my own web design business and the hardest part is the taxes, the fees, the licenses, etc, all of which she wants more of- more taxes to keep the poor down and which the rich easily avoid, when they want to. Meanwhile, I find her and her husband insincere in their efforts to end poverty when they feel okay about keeping all this money.

I am for reducing taxes and reducing government.

She's paid the same percentage in taxes that other wealthy people have been forced to pay so she is leading by example. You haven't shown that she's weaseled out of anything or isn't paying what's expected of her or what she expects from the other uber-rich.

So would the other uber-rich that a tax increase would effect.

So would the other uber-rich that a tax increase would effect.
So she paid what the government is expecting of her. Plain and simple, she paid what the Bush administration set as the rate.

As a Presidential wannabe and as someone advocating for the rich to take on more of the load you'd think she would want to lead by example and overpay above and beyond what the Bush administration sets as the standard. Right?

So in other words the Bush tax plan is good for her but not everyone else?

I was under the impression that the tax hikes would effect those that meet the income cap. I'm not sure how that would effect you. That's why I wanted you to post something specific about what she's proposing so I could see where your coming from. Maybe I'd share some of your concerns if I knew exactly what she's proposing that your worried about. Simply saying she's for raising taxes and your against doesn't really help me understand.

The income tax currently does not affect me much personally, though I find it extremely offensive.

But, there are all kinds of taxes and fees to start your own business, which is where all the money is at. Thats what I am against. I don't want to be an employee, a wage slave. I want my own business and it is the taxes that liberals endorse that is making it difficult.

If that's what it takes to show you that she's sincere so be it. Personally I think she wouldn't be proposing anything if she wasn't prepared to live by it. At least from what I've seen she hasn't weaseled her way out of paying what's required of her.

Well if it's a tax hike in general no matter who it may or may not effect that you don't like then I'm not sure what else there is to say really. Unless you can prove me otherwise, I'm not so sure her tax plan would make it harder for you to start your business.

She is rich enough to add an extra 25% to her payment to show her leadership on this issue and it would not have even effected her lifestyle. She did not.
