I have seen the video footage, heard the commentary and come to a conclusion about this whole Reverend Wright thing.

1. Obama probably started to go to the church for social and political issues.

2. The church was a large voting block within in district for election.

3. It worked

4. The same things Barack used to bond with the congregation of the church are now biting him in the butt.

5. If he distances himself from the Reverend he will lose face in the larger black community.

I think I was accurate here and didn't make this a racial thing. He used the church to further his political aspiration. The same church that furthered his political career may now ruin it. He gambled and won but the win could cost him his future.

Actually, I take Barak at face value. I think he had the courage to deny wearing the American flag pin, and has the courage to stand with Reverand Wright both physically and idealogically against an America both consider a bad America.

Wright has only said what we "liberals" have been saying for many years.

I never thought I'd see the day when a serious Presidential candidate would be refusing to wear a USA flag pin, refusing to pledge allegience to the flag, and consider his inner circle a pastor of 20 years who says the most hateful, racist, and anti American stuff and who honors Louis Farrkhan.

It's true that's what liberals have been saying for years and it's horribly unAmerican.

The one in bold really gets me. We've had so many blacks do so well the last 35 years but still some consider this AmeriKKKa.

Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Rod Paige, and Alberto Gonzalez have all held some of the highest positions in US government the last few years and we've had black Mayors, Governors, Senators, Judges, Police Chiefs, Fire Chiefs, successful business men, and so many others who have achieved wealth and status in this so called KKK country.

What about Reverend Wright himself and his 2.5 million dollar home on a 10 million dollar piece of property.
