Interesting. I thought that the NRA supported the right of law-abiding Americans to own and use guns. I've never seen ANY evidence that the NRA supports guns in the hands of criminals, or of criminals selling guns.

nice.

liberal hypocrisy rears its ugly head, once again.
You Know catz my dad died at 92 yrs last year, the last five yrs of his life he would enter into and exit from the "black side" as we called his mental deterioration, he made my mums and our life hell, but we all loved him so much, when he was lucid he would refer to his "crazy spell" he was a man of great dignity but always a realist, I refer to him at times as "that crazy old bastard my Dad" .

He was a great fan of Spike Milligan who suffered a similar fate as my Dad,

Spike's tombstone had a simple comment of his on it "I told you I was ill"

You die thats it, it is the only certain thing in life so why should we indulge in mawkish sentimentality, or trying to find a suitable "cant" for an illness.

My Dad would have peed himself laughing

Hi, I'm gun shows, and limits on the number of guns being purchased.

Nice to meet you.

It's really a matter of perspective, I suppose: if you fear the big ole government coming to take your guns away, you view the NRA with reverence.

If you live in a city where the majority of guns come in from states with lax gun laws, you see my point.

I'm a realist on guns: if I lived in rural wherever, I could see a reasonable desire for a gun, since help in an emergency may be far away.

But, the NRA perpetually advocates against reasonable limits on firearm purchases, and for loopholes for background checks.

And that means more guns on my city's streets. More easy killing.

That's Heston's legacy to me.

Yeah, that's...logical.
I think that guns owned legally by parents, that are taken to school or used without permission by their children have caused problems in your country?

Emergency help can be just as far away in the big city as it is in the country. Trust me on this one.

It's funny how you can blame a legitimate social organization for the actions of criminals. I find it rather humorous.

I don't need to trust you: police are minutes away in any major city.

Moreover: gun control laws are what such municipalities want, overwhelmingly.

What happened to state and local rights?

Another philosophical inconsistency of the right.

I'm not: I'm blaming them for advocating what they advocate.

It's disgusting that we have a higher fire-arm death rate than countries like yemen.

And it's gun-advocates who perpetuate it.

It's humorous to me that conservatives revere actors with alzheimers as their leaders and spokesmen.

I worked for a police department in a major metropolitan area, assigned to the metro gang unit, for a number of years. A minute is a long (*)(*)(*)(*)ed time when your family is in danger.

None of the cops I've ever worked with, IN MY LIFE, supported limits on safe and legal ownership of firearms. We all realize, quite clearly, that the police often CANNOT BE THERE when you need them the most. Yes, they can respond to the scene, but to expect the cops to save your life if someone comes into your home is foolish in the extreme.

In fact, some of my police friends were the staunchest supporters of expanding concealed carry permits in our state. Most cops are NRA members.

This is the difference between actually knowing something about crime, and assuming, as most liberals do, that they know something about crime.

Actually, it is those who prefer to pander to criminals who perpetuate it, not law-abiding gun owners.
