Default Prohibition, Drugs & The Constitution

On the subject of alcohol (WHICH IS ALSO A DRUG), I find it strange how it took an act of congress to outlaw it during the days of prohibition, yet when it came to weed, cocaine, heroine and other drugs the same procedure wasn't followed.

Thoughts?

Sign of the times.

Actually, quite a few states had gone dry, just before the prohibition. You have to remember that back then, religion wasn't demonized, like it is today. It was a fundamental part of everyone. There was massive pressure from both the left and the right, to make the entire country go dry, and they didn't realize the problems it would cause.

Default I don't know.

I don't know why it went that way. Doesn't make any sense.

Frankly, I don't think that the government really cares all that much. Though they say that we are fighting a drug war, they really haven't cracked down on the drug trade as much as they need to. It probably constitutes too much of the underground economy for them to feel comfortable abolishing it.

They caused them?

The first problem was expecting people to do as they were told too by a elite supremacists, much like they still do today. We the people elect somebody and they do exactly what they want to do, how they want to do it, and (*)(*)(*)(*) (the people) the fools who gave them the power to do it!

That’s when we see our government for what it really is! A bully!

Interesting story. Did you know that during prohibition, when Lindbergh did his historic flight, the White House wanted to have a little social gathering for the auspicious occasion. So the President ordered the Secret Service to go to the churches in the DC area, and shall we say confiscate (steal) sacrificial wine, so these elite socialites could break the prohibition laws, with the full protection of the executive branches private security guarding the illegal activity.

The fact is many people were in jail for doing less than stealing and consuming illegal hooch!

A perfect example of the elite in this country thumbing their nose and saying do as we say, not as we do!

Actually, yes. Even the catholics were involved. However, it was mostly Methodists and Baptists.

That is incorrect, Congress was involved in making those drugs illegal.
