We should have stuck to the process we developed.
Passing 17 resolutions without following up on one of them is like a parent who tells his kid he will be punsihed if he misbehaves and then never actually punsihes the kid when he does. What message does that send the child.

The UN refused to enforce its resolutions and after 9/11 waiting another decade was out of the question.

It was a calculated risk, he was right, after all.

And this is the same guy that said he'd invade Pakistan though right? he does not know whether he is coming or going.
It's rather simple and consistent.

Focus the war on terror on Al Qaeda.[/quote]

I take the same risk every time I scratch a lottery ticket. Nobody believes Obama had any Spock like logic when he opposed the war other than trying to win liberal votes in a Democratic race.

This is the same guy that attended the same church for 20 years and had no idea the pastor was a racist or that the church honored anti semites.

No, it didn't.

It had sent inspectors in to verify if their were weapons.

Turns out their weren't any.

Our leaders were just to impatient, and, dare I say, afraid?

That's how the terrorists win: when we do stupid things because of fear.

It's a lot safer than sticking with people who don't learn from mistakes.

Who were wrong, are wrong, and will be wrong until they admit the entire thing was a huge mistake.

Wrong again. After more than a decade of Saddams blocking and stalling and the UN refusing to back up its own threats we took action based on the bulk of data available at the time.

Clinton bombed Iraq in 1998 and inspectors could have gone in then. Nothing got done.

That's why Mccain is up by 14% over both Hillary and Obama when it comes to Iraq.

Mistakes were made for sure, but your side is just dead wrong.

What was avoided? Until we actually went into Iraq and removed Saddam the world thought he had WMD for more than a decade.

if removing saddam and making sure he had no wmd was our mission, then thats already done. it should be over. now its expected to go on until iraq is a democracy and aligns itself with us, against our enemies. yeah, that should be anytime now. lol
