The more interesting and relevant question is this: Can you distinguish between MSNBC and CNN?

If you can't distinguish between MSNBC and CNN (I can't) then I'd be pretty tempted to put their totals together and say that their combined viewership is representative of one part of the population, Fox is representative of another. In other words, 203/271 against Fox as representing the viewing public's choice for bias in reporting.

I think your logic is flawed Crimson. Can you tell the difference between MSNBC and CNN? Be honest.

I think I screwed up their demographic cause I watch Fox for a good laugh and to check up on what the other side is thinking.

I stand by my statement. Based on the long time domination FOX has had in the ratings either viewers consider them very fair and balanced OR the vast bulk of America is right wing. Either way the left should be worried.

I watch all the channels. I watch Morning Joe on MSNBC every morning becuase I like it better. But I see nothing wrong with FOX other than they give views from the right actual equal time.

You need to take a breath. Why are you so obsessed with FOX? Who cares what there marketing slogan is. Frankly I'm more concerned about CBS news and the NY Times, both of which are very respected news outlets but have been involved in various scandals and bias over the last few years much worse than anything FOX has done. But I'm sure you could care less.

If you want to stand by a statement that is correct only within the confines of channel vs. channel, that's fine. Your conclusion that "based on ratings domination,...viewers consider them very fair and balanced OR the vast bulk of America is right wing," is clearly lacking in reason and logic. Here is why: The opinions embodied by FOX are represented by one outlet: FOX. Therefore, you will see a consolidation of viewership there held by people who agree. On the other hand, the liberally biased opinion is divided amongst indistinguishable outlets (i.e., CNN, MSNBC, etc.,) and therefore that viewership is unconsolidated among those indistinguishable sources. If your premise of the majority considering them fair and balanced OR reflecting the vast bulk of America as right-wing, then in this equation, FOX alone should beat the sum of the indistinguishables.

So, go ahead and stand by your statement, if all we are talking about is one channel vs. another. In the broader conversation of media bias and public perception, your statement is wrong and you should let it go.

if Fox is fair and balanced then so is Charlie Manson, that logo is as phony as lush lompbawls, there are good shows on Fox, just not fair and balanced political shows, ask John McCain, that should be proof enough.

Actually, I do believe it is fair and balanced. I love being able to hear my viewpoints expressed and discussed on many issues that simply is not done on the liberal stations. In addition, I believe the liberals on Fox are far superior to most of the liberals on the liberal stations. Alan Colmes does an excellent job, superior to the lunnie libs on the liberal stations, of defending and promoting the liberal agenda, as do many of their other democratic consultants.

The end result is that Fox is simply more professional than the other stations in terms of allowing all major sides of the issue to debate the issues in a sober fashion. The liberal stations are simply rabid liberal name callers, whose childishness equates to sub 10 year olds.
