What do you think about the Israel / Palestine conflict?

After talking to a lot of people, something I'm amazed I didn't hear was that both of them are in the wrong. Israel destroys human rights and fires missiles into housing areas, and the Palestinians think it gives them the right to kill Israeli civilians on sight. I say they're both wrong, and need to quit their little feud before George Bush decides it's his job to solve it.

They're both in the wrong.

But Bush and the neo conservatives will never issue orders to Israel... it's the other way around. Sharon screams, "jump, goyim!". The neocons reply, "how high?"

Israel has a free, strong hand, backed by U.S. might (and American taxpayer $). They all hate each other. I don't see it ending in our lifetime.

Once I'm president (and I assure you, I will be...I can control minds) I'll go in there and ask each and every one of them what they think about it, and those who agree with my divine rule will be taken away, AND THOSE WHO DISAGREE WITH MY GODLY TRUTH-THOUGHTS WILL BE BLOWN INTO THE PATHETIC PILES OF ROTTING FLESH THAT THEY ARE BY A NUCLEAR MISSILE DIRECT FROM HEAVEN! I agree both sides have done bad things to each other, but I believe the most fault lies with the Palestinians. I say this mostly because of their long-time refusal to recognize Israel's right to even exist, and even omit it from their maps.

So, how do you co-exist with people like this right next door to you who don't believe you have the right to exist?

The leaders and a small portion of the respective populations on each side perpetuate this needless and useless conflict. Both sides are wrong. And, the conflict will end only when the leaders learn to care more about the future then the past.

Revenge is only worth so much, most would accept a sensible peace if it was offered today.
The bigger question is where (no longer if) to draw the borders. Israel has conceded the right of the Palestinian State to exist, so it now should be only a matter of time before it happens.
We'll just have to wait and see.

Palestinians hate Jews. That's right they hate them. They don't know why they hate Jews they just do. Israel on the other hand keeps getting its hands tied by the United States. The United States should just stay out of it completely, unless other countries get involved. Let Israel and Palestine fight it out. I do not believe it is the goal of Israel to wipe out Palestine but I do believe it is the intent of Palestine to wipe Israel out. Any country that would send people over strapped with a bomb with sole intent to kill themselves and any innocent people around them is really not a country, it's a terrorist state and should be treated as such.

Hows that? If Isreal wanted to eliminate the Palestinians or "accomplish" something they would of already done it.

I don't think the US would intervene if Israel decided to do something drastic. Maybe they denounce what Israel does, and maybe they stop some of the over the counter payments, but certainly not anything more extreme.

Bush has warned Sharon several times to show restraint. I don't agree with that philosophy. As long as other countries don't get involved I think Israel and Palestine should go at it until someone says OK enough is enough. Let them hash it out.
