The FED isn't a government agency.

Pick up any 1st year college government book. It will describe the 4 main "branches"
Leg, Exe, Jud, and Bureaucracy.

Then factor in that both the Executive and the Legislative already have what you are talking about, and you are in a serious case of redundency.

The GAO was mentioned. It is basically AWSOME.
You could also google "regulatory agency". There are long lists.
FCC, FEC, etc, etc.

In addition, you could easily find all the information you are looking for, in terms of failed gov programs.

Here is a good one I reference frequently.

No, sorry - can't help you there; a lot of us are just as confused as you are.

As much as I enjoy your posts I was not refering to it, but to the post made by a boy named suzie's post accusing liberals of wanting more government as a perjorative, this confused me as I thought the party in power, the republicans, that has a battle cry "less government" yet they seem to apply the opposite.

I also stated that another claim made before elections by the reps is fiscal proberty and this does not seem to equate with Dubya's spending money like a drunken sailor, the reference to the fed was with regard to the pressure of the deficit applied by this government on the independent Fed

The 3 trillion dollar number is a conservative number. It could have been something like 5 trillion.

The first three are already too big and incompetent and corrupt, no need to add a fourth one to the mix.

Besides, it be like the sixth branch. The fourth and fifth belong to the Fed and the Media respectively.

Isn't the definition of stupidity doing the same thing over and over when it doesn't work?

Wouldn't that include adding yet another branch of government?

If you burn your hand when you touch the stove, you're stupid if you touch it again. If the current system is corrupt, then don't use the current system.
