those sorry welfare recipients. a bunch of dam* youngsters looking to be fed, assisted with healthcare, provided shelter from the elements and an opportunity to succeed. with all of those advantages they then dare to underperform in school. sure, those whose parents can afford reliable transportation, nice clothes, good food, expanded experiences and a computer with internet access ... since that's what is now used to post homework assignment and for the research necessary to fulfill the assignment, those kids keep scoring well on the No Child Left Behind tests. let's look for what is responsible for the performance difference ... no need, because the kluckers have already concluded the difference is nothing other than race

It's chic to hate the rich but the reality is most rich people got their money by taking chances and working hard early on.

The fat cat rich old white guy probably worked 60 hour weeks in his 20's and 30's building his fortune while some bum sat on a porch drinking beer at 12 noon waiting for his government handout check and grumbling about how the rich get all the breaks.

I highly doubt you have ever lived near many poor and ghetto communities. Let me tell you one thing, there are many people in them who have no desire to better themselves and would rather play the victim and cling to the idea that they are oppressed and their situation is hopeless. There is typically a high drop out rate because many of them were taught at a young age that they would never be accepted because of their race or status, or have never seen their father. These people do not walk in with hope to learn and work for what they need to move on up. Many of them walk in with the idea that they will never make it, and hence justify their handouts. It explains the horrid high school graduation rates in the extreme ghettos of places like Detroit and Baltimore.

I dare you to take a trip through Baltimore or Detroit in the bad parts of town. These people aren't searching for hope. They are searching for ways to take from those they believe are bringing them down, which is just about anyone who works hard and makes a living for them self. This vicious cycle is only getting worse as more and more fall into this category. Why is it that the poorest minorities also have the highest number of children, and yet many do not have fathers? The poor in general have extremely poor family values to further their plight. So we have the highest growing part of the population a bitter, hopeless, largely uneducated group of people, and the solution is more welfare?
