Never once did I say it was impossible? Everybody cannot be both rich and successful. Example, Paris Hilton, Donald Trump, all Sam Walton’s children, people who cannot fail are representative of the rich/elite in this country! They are the top of the financial food chain and they are stable and not going anywhere. In fact the odds of them utterly failing and becoming a middle class slug is at minimum slim too none! The top 1 percent of American families, for example, now own as much as the bottom 95 percent combined, the highest such gap among developed nations. In a nation that is supposed to be (not easy, but) most likely to have a majority of their population being both rich & successful? Why aren’t we? Does that mean it is impossible to become one of the rich/elite? Of course not, just statistically speaking, it isn’t very likely! That is the facts, It’s not hatred/jealousy or anything else! It’s called reality! Get used to it!

As long as they (the rich/elite) own everything they will/should inevitably pay the largest tab! It is simple math! Is it right? It is unless you want to take it away from people who have nothing to give! Before you start whining about it isn’t fair, remember the words of a wise rich man, when asked by the peasant;

Peasant- "Sir I have worked and slaved for you my entire life, as my father did before me, and his father before him! It isn’t fair that I am forced to wear rags, and am only allowed subtenants that only allow me the opportunity to continue my existence, so I may further serve you and never receive anything else for my efforts in return?"

Elitist- "Life isn’t fair! If you deserved more I would give you more, but since you, a common peasant, you are not deserving of more, you will accept what I give you for the work you do or you can cease to exist for all I care. Remember there are others outside the castle walls who would serve me well, and for less too! Keep that in mind! Now back to work with you! A peasant who wishes fair treatment, the audacity! Next thing you know he will want to marry within the royal bloodline, and sit at the supper table!"

Success bears a much smaller threshold. You can be a teacher, a welder, a bus driver, in fact you can be just about anything and have a significant measurable level of success! Are we on the same page now?

Neither is about 60% of the population who will fail miserably, and can/will only dream of reaching the same pinnacle others do! That doesn’t make them lazy either by the way? Some of the laziest most useless sack of human flesh I have ever met, was on golf courses at country clubs!

I really do not understand why so many on this forum are so scared of the simple facts? Shame I suppose?

FYI...good parenting does not = help from the government. They are distinctly different.

Well you're the one who mistakenly brought up help from family members when he was referring to government help when he said he had no help. If you didn't compare them then don't throw out red herrings or irrelevant arguments in the future.
