The Candidate really can't be blamed, but they didn't help.

I'll start with a criticism of my candidate: Obama is not a closer.

With a smooth and commanding performance at the debate, he could have dealt the knockout for the primary. He needed to dust off all the petty crap that was the beginning.

Instead, he dwelled on it, to his error.

Next on my S-List are the moderators. Charlie Gibson seems to have mastered the art of looking smart while saying really stupid things.

Stephonopolous' pettiness was loosely veiled, and his points were nonsensical.


Even when they finally got around to discussing issues, Steph and Gib stumbled over each other and the candidates.


But, worst of all was Hillary Clinton. Incredibly duplicitous.

She says "I don't know what to tell you" about her sniper comments, and says those sorts of gaffes have no place in politics.

Then she attacks Obama for his recent gaffe.

The whole time saying "I'm not using this crap to my advantage, but the Republicans will."

Many have posed the theory that Clinton knows she can't win the nomination, so she's kneecapping Obama so that she'll have another shot in '12.

Those looking for evidence of that hypothesis got a bowl full on monday night.


All in all, very disappointing.

Obama needs to brush off the muck, and Hillary needs to stop swimming in it.

ABC news needs to feed on something besides carrion.

I heard that this debate had the highest ratings.

Don't know all the qualifiers but supposedly it had an audience of 10 million. With the 2 dem candidates tearing each other apart, it's 'Reality TV' at its finest!!

Well, with the two worst candidates for President in American history, no wonder it was a lousy debate.

I didn't watch the debate (I stopped somewhere around Debate #73, or something). However, I have one question for anyone who DID watch it:

Did you get ANYTHING "new" out of it? I mean, hasn't the DNC had about 315 debates already? What could possibly have been said that wasn't already said a hundred times in the other debates?
