Icon9 Why has no one asked this question publicly?

I keep hearing Senator Clinton talk about her 35 years of experience as she is campaigning, but I don't hear a single reporter or news program or candidate asking her the really tough question.

"Do you think that Hillary Rodham would be running for President right now?"

I think it's something that needs to be addressed. I think that she is someone who has capitalized on her connection to a popular Public figure in ways that put me at odds with ever considering her as a serious candidate. You can't convince me that Hillary Rodham would be a Senator from New York, let alone a presidential candidate.

I don't see 35 years of political experience. I see her as having 30 years of experience being a wife of a politician. That's akin to having my wife claim to have 20 years of experience being an Electronics Technician because she was married to me. You see what I'm getting at?

Its probably because you're voting for both her and her husband. So when she says she has 35 years experience she really means her AND her husband.

She only has 35 yrs of experience if you count those challenging years as First Lady.

I don't remember anyone voting for Reagan, because of Nancy. Or the first Bush, and his ugly mom (or was it his wife?...it was always kinda hard to tell).

Hillary's a sham anyway. Everything about her, including her marriage, is a total fabrication.

Actually that's a really good point.

Though she was weirdly involved as a first lady
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_health_care_plan

She was mostly just a lawyer married to a politician for most of those years.

i think the argument is she was the driving force behind her husbands political career. i honestly dont think she would still be in it if she didnt have the name brand. shes blatantly dishonest, chose a losing strategy and her campaign was run horribly.

That would give her 35 years of experience in public relations, not politics.

Actually, I think you should go back and look at that again. Her name was never next to Bill's on any ticket, so your assertion that we were voting for them both is incorrect.

And if you're going to bring up her years as First Lady, you might want to rethink that strategy. You remember the first time that she talked about a National Health Care plan and how miserably that failed?

Can you honestly tell me that if she ran for any office on her own merits--having not been Bill Clinton's wife--that she would actually have won anything? Back to my original statement--do you think we would be talking about a Senator Rodham?

I didn't say we WERE voting for them in the past, but come on. You see Bill right behind Hillary in the photo shoots of her win in PA. Do you really think you're only voting for Hillary in this election?
