Default ..

Back to the issue at hand: It is pretty obvious that men think the #1 priority is destroying terrorism..AS IT SHOULD BE. You cannot have a country when there is no defense. But I do think a majority of women believe this too since 9/11.

The follwing is an excerpt from the FreeRepublic (conservative news source) article on the insider trading:

"The SEC investigated but decided not to punish Bush. After all, his dad was President and all five SEC Commissioners are appointed by the President. Furthermore, the SEC's general counsel had actually represented George W. in the Texas Rangers negotiation as reported in Rolling Stone magazine's August 5, 1999 issue. Any doubts?"

1) Nothing has proven that Bush was AWOL.
2) Acknowledged, he had a DUI but IT WAS EXPUNGED FROM HIS RECORD.
3) He was never convicted of insider trading.

Well I didn't provide photocopies of the actual records, but each article mentions the fact that "Although he was required to attend periodic drills in Alabama, there is no official record in his file that he did."

You're right - I should have said "formerly with a criminal record". I'm sorry, now that gives him more integrity.

And OJ was never convicted of murder. Doesn't change what he did.

Don't even try to pretend that Kerry has more integrity than Bush.

I don't have to pretend.

That is an absolute joke. The primary definition of integrity, as stated by the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language is "steadfast adherance to a strict moral or ethical code." Can you tell me how Kerry, with absolutely NO convictions whatsoever, fits this definition better than Bush?

What's a joke is that people mistake Bush's steadfast adherence to his mistakes as a sign that he is either moral OR ethical.

In fact there's so much evidence to the contrary, people have written books about it. May I suggest "President of Good and Evil: The Ethics of President George W. Bush" by Peter Singer, reknowned author and bioethics professor at Princeton University's Center for Human Values.

Default sad that so many people are afraid to "look under the hood"

That's the best reason to stay ignorant that I've ever heard ...

This book is the result of an exhaustive nonpartisan study of Bush's statements and the positions he's held on important issues over the course of his political career. The reader is invited to draw his/her own conclusions.
