I don't know if this can be considered an exhaustive study!

I'm still wondering where all of that Iraqi oil revenue that bush promised would pay for his war is going.

Can you blame them when facing the first two risks?

This quote shows the necessity for getting the nation secure. Nothing can get finished as long as contractors are being killed and buildings are being blown up, but that isn't going to happen if we pull out of the country.
And we've seen very little evidence "that" is going to happen if we stay in the country.

i personally don't even think we should be rebuilding anything.
but if we build things,
and insurgents destroy them afterwords,
then we should leave them destroyed,
and the iraqi people know who to blame for not having a hospital to go to when the next suicide bomb goes off at the market.
i say no more wasting money rebuilding iraq.
if iraqis wanted a better country,
they'd be trying harder not to destroy it.
insurgents can only survive with support from the public.
i think the iraqi public needs 'less incentive' to support the insurgency.
