Well sparta and athens were separate political entities, but even sparta was never a great military power! They were a war like people, who were certainly capable of defending themselves, but they never conquered large amounts of land. Until alexander(who was macedonian) came around there was no greek empire. Greek influence however was all over. So what we would have called greece was a bunch of separate political entities, often in the form of city states, that were bonded together by the same language and similar cultures!

You have that backwards, you see, Europe has
their nose up our azz's because they are
obsessed with us. I have said it many times on
this forum, that Europeans have a love hate
relations with Americans, they love our culture
and music and movies, but they hate our guts.

Just the other day on this same forum, a
European made a post saying "Bush made
the Europeans not like us"

Dam that Bush, he made people who hate our
guts not like us, boo whoo.

And they won't like the next president or the one
after that. in fact they believe the average American is an idiot, just because Americans
could careless about the Europeans.
to me that a wake up call to the Europeans
that they don't matter to Americans, because
Americans see Europeans as foolish ungodly
people who always get into a mess.

Americans just want to be left alone, yet the
Europeans will do something stupid and again
we will have to go save them. Europe has
become a liability to the Americans.

as far as the British go, they are part of the Euro
land scape and they too have fallen to being
idiots. they claim their Muslim population is
peaceful yet: "Islam will Dominate the World"
was the slogan on signs held aloft by Islamist
demonstrators of British nationality as they
marched in October 2001 north of London.

The notion that the "immense majority" of Muslims settled in Europe are peacefully inclined must be viewed for what it is: a mirage.

But I can sum up what this Anti-American crap
does, to Americans, Americans feel They're
always blaming us, so why consult them at all?
We already know they'll vilify us.


And so America's enemies and allies alike,
valuing animosity toward the U.S. over
influence on her, condemn themselves to
impotence. In the process they strengthen the
American superpower.

The United States need not worry about hearts
and minds in foreign lands. If Germans wish to
use anti-Americanism to absolve themselves
and their parents of the great crimes of World
War II, they will do it regardless of what the
United States says and does.

Same goes for Europe. Europe as a hole has
a guilty disease, for which Americans can't cure
