So your logic is that if we are not there, the number will go down... That makes perfect sense... not.

So yeah in 1999 in the State of Utah in the United States I clearly remember paying .98 cents per Gallon (or 3.7 L) of Gasoline.

Now in 2008, only 9 years later I am paying almost 3.50 per gallon or 3.7 L.

Clearly something awful happened over that time period. lol.
Yeah, what happened was the illegal invasion picked up in full force. If they left, gas prices would drop and the roads would clear up (yes, they DO drive without licenses).

Im sure their presence huts the price somewhat but im still blaming the oil companies for this one.

No not at all....

Because I see them bringing in record profits while the rest of us are getting buried at the pumps.

I understand that with 12-13 million illegal immigrants here and consuming energy that it absolutely causes a price increase. You will find that im pretty conservative on illegal immigration (although realistic....Meaning we cant just round up 13 million people and dump them across the border lol)

But when I guarantee that isnt what has the national average at almost 3.50 a gallon. 9 years ago gas was .98 cents here. And 9 years ago there were a buttload of illegals here as well lol.

Every study I have ever seen has led me to believe that if these oil company ceo's would just settle for a short while with good but not great levels of profit that our costs would be lowered DRASTICALLY.

I understand how Capitalism works...Im not an unrealistic idiot lol. But if people want to claim "patriotism" then show it by minimizing profits for the betterment of your nation.

And yes....do something about illegal immigration and outrageous taxes as well.

Of course, what you don't realize is that the government is playing right into the oil companies hands. If you follow the oil companies, they aren't lobbying to remove ethanol from the market. In fact, they actually want "greener" policies because that makes it even harder for new corporations to come to the big oil market.

Like I said in my paper, there is currently enough oil in America alone to fuel us for the next thousand years, and oil companies could be making tons of profits if they just mined it. Of course, if they did that, they would bring down the price of oil - why would they want that? But someone else could easily do that, right? After all, this is a free market, but do you know why they don't? They don't because the government has put extreme limitations on the oil in order to fulfill a green agenda. If the government didn't get involved, then they wouldn't make those profits because tons of people would go into the oil business.

Fuel prices in Australia, State by State, vary from the lowest being $1.42 in Queensland, to a whopping $1.61 in the Northern Territory.

Here in my State of Victoria, the prices are around $1.45 per litre.

Diesel is on average $1.70 per litre, so it's no wonder people are preferring unleaded fuel.

Gas is also at an all time high. I'm so glad I haven't got my licence - I'd never be able to afford to drive.

That's the major difference between America and anywhere else, everyone drives. I drive around an hour every weekday.
